The global pandemic has had profound impacts on English education.  This pandemic has also revealed the significant gap in the education system, in terms of quality and infrastructure to deliver the best English teaching services. These challenges demand the stakeholders in English education to address them with multi-dimension solutions that go beyond the “day-to-day basis”. 

In response to the matters and in relation to the efforts of revitalizing the education of English in the fields of English Language Teaching, Linguistics, and Literature in the pandemic and post-pandemic era, the Students Union of English Department, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo will organize a world-class discussions forum, the 8th International English Students Conference. This conference will allow presenting scholars and expert speakers from various regions to share brilliant scientific ideas at the conference with the theme “Revitalizing the role of English Language Teaching, Linguistics, and Literature in the post-pandemic era”.
